MOVED TO SUNDAY, JULY 5, 6PM AT NICHOLSON STADIUM
The City of Methuen will celebrate the Fourth of July holiday with a FREE concert by the popular Beatles tribute band, Beatle Juice.

 Due to the threat of thunder showers, the concert, originally scheduled for Friday, July 3, has been moved to Sunday, July 5, 6pm at Nicholson Stadium. No fireworks this year, but a whole lot of Beatle Juice! Information: Mayor's Office, 978-983-8505.

Millionaire Edward Searles was a collector. Furniture, tapestries, architectural elements and even highly prized historical artifacts were part of his collection. It has been said that at one point he had the finest collection of Guggenheim bibles in the country. Veterans Medical Foster Homes: The Edith Nourse Rogers Veterans Hospital in Bedford, MA is offering veterans an alternative to institutionalized long term care. Medical Foster Homes find caregivers in communities willing to take veterans into their homes. Payment includes room, board, 24-hour supervision, medication assistance and personal care. Senior Citizen Waste Disposal: White goods (appliances) and yard waste curbside pickup, along with disposal at the Transfer Station, are FREE OF CHARGE for Methuen senior citizens with proper identification. Information: Methuen DPW, 978-983-8545.
 

Veteran Preference for City Employment: There is a Veterans Employment Preference list in the Methuen Human Resources Office regarding City of Methuen job opportunities. Interested veterans may sign their name to the list and receive preference for jobs available. The list has been established per the resolution adopted by the Methuen City Council.
