9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

This year marks the sixteenth year anniversary of the tragedy of September 11, 2001. There will be a brief Ceremony of Remembrance for all the victims held at Methuen Central Fire Station, 24 Lowell Street. The ceremony will be held on Monday September 11, 2017, and will begin at precisely 9:55 a.m. All are welcome and encouraged to attend, including family and friends. If the weather cooperates, the observance will be held outdoors, at the Firefighters' Memorial Monument. In the case of inclement weather, the observance will be held indoors, on the apparatus floor.

9:59 a.m. Time of the South Tower Collapse Station Bell Tolls 5-5-5-5 (4 sets of 5 chimes each)

10:00 a.m. Lower station Flags to half-mast

1 minute of complete silence Remembrance Prayer

Firefighters Prayer
