MINUTES OF METHUEN BOARD OF ASSESSORS MEETING April 10, 2007 

Present were, Arthur Fyfe, Thomas Hoye and Arthur Hutton.  Member Dennis Dizoglio came after the meeting had adjourned.  The meeting was opened and called to order at 8:30 am by Arthur Fyfe who was acting chair due to the absence of Chairperson Donald Gallant who had informed the assessor he would be unable to attend due a conflict.  The first item was to accept the minutes of the previous meeting.  A motion was made by member Hoye and seconded by member Hutton to accept the minutes. 

Having no further business for the open meeting session a motion was made by member Hoye to adjourn to executive session to discuss four abatement applications, which had been submitted for consideration. Seconded by member Hutton and the Board adjourned to executive session. 

After discussion and consideration a motion was made by member Hoye to end executive session and reconvene to open meeting.  Second by member Hutton and the Board reconvened to open meeting.  Member Hoye made the motion that the Board grant abatements to: Romano Enterprises, Inc.; United Leasing, Inc.; Diebold Inc./Diebold Inc. Retail Division and Valero.  Second by member Hutton, passed. 

A motion was made to deem deny the application submitted by: Abdou Abou-Raad.  Second by member Hutton, passed. Having no further business to come before the Board a motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 8:55 am by member Hoye and seconded by member Hutton; passed; meeting adjourned. No date or time was set for the next meeting.
