A meeting of the Methuen Board of Assessors was held on September 11, 2007 at 8:30 am in the office of the assessor room 103, first floor. 

The meeting was called to order by chairperson Donald Gallant and the following members were in attendance: Municipal Appraiser, John Cena, Thomas Hoye, Arthur Fyfe, Arthur Hutton and Dennis Dizoglio.

A motion was made by the chair to accept the minutes of the last meeting.  A motion was made to accept the minutes by Arthur Fyfe with a second from Arthur Hutton, all in favor none opposed.  

New business to come before the board was the vote to accept all elderly and other state exemptions; motion by Arthur Hutton to accept and seconded by Arthur Fyfe, all in favor none opposed.

The second order of business was to vote to deny exemptions that did not qualify, motion made by Tom Hoye and seconded by Arthur Hutton, al in favor, none opposed.  The board considered a personal property abatement for Nassar Jabour requested by the treasurer/tax collector due to the being sold.  Motion made by Arthur Fyfe seconded by Tom Hoye, no opposition all in favor. 

Having no further business to come before the board a motion to adjourn was made by Tom Hoye and seconded by Arthur Hutton, motion carried all in favor none opposed.  A meeting was set for October 9^th, 2007.
