SHINE - Serving the Health Information Needs of Elders 

SHINE is a free and confidential counseling service to help individuals understand their Medicare insurance benefits and other health insurance options. A SHINE counselor cannot tell you what to do, but can help you become a more informed consumer while presenting accurate and unbiased information.

SHINE counselors are trained and certified by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs in many areas such as Medicare A and B, the Medicare appeals process, Medigap insurances, retiree insurance plans, long-term insurances, Medicaid and health care programs.

SHINE counseling is available on the phone or if needed, an appointment to meet at the Methuen Senior Center can be arranged by the SHINE counselor. Call the Center at 978-983-8825 to leave your name and number for the counselor to contact you.
