Veteran Preference for City Employment: There is a Veterans Employment Preference list in the Methuen Human Resources Office regarding City of Methuen job opportunities. Interested veterans may sign their name to the list and receive preference for jobs available. The list has been established per the resolution adopted by the Methuen City Council. Senior Citizen Waste Disposal
White goods (appliances) and yard waste curbside pickup, along with disposal at the Transfer Station, are FREE OF CHARGE for Methuen senior citizens with proper identification. Information: Methuen DPW, 978-983-8545.

Trash and Recycling Collection

For all Methuen Residents who receive municipal trash and recycling collection services, please be advised that trash and recycling must be placed curbside by 7am on your collection day. Trash should be placed separate from recyclables at the curb. The city will NOT pick up any materials put out after 7am, and the proper disposal of these materials will be the responsibility of the residents. Thank you for your cooperation. Special Assistance Registration Form
The Methuen Health Department and Emergency Management Department have developed a Special Assistance Registration Form to be completed by those citizens with special needs requiring help during emergency situations.
