The mission of the Methuen Cultural Council is to promote excellence, access, education, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences. The goal is to improve the quality of life for all Methuen residents and to contribute to the economic vitality of the community through the re-granting of public monies by the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC). The Methuen Cultural Council is an agent of the Massachusetts Cultural Council which receives funding from the Massachusetts Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts. Distributions are based on a local aid formula devised by the state and are not determined by the individual municipality.
