Mission

Promoting economic development, fostering safe and sustainable neighborhood development, and improving the overall quality of life in Methuen continue to be the primary objectives of the Methuen Department of Economic and Community Development. The Department works closely with volunteer boards, community groups, and state and federal agencies in focusing attention on issues regarding economic development, housing, historic preservation, downtown revitalization, open space, the environment and infrastructure. The Department oversees City Planning, including the administration of the Community Development Board, Conservation Commission, Historic District Commission and Historic Preservation Committee.

Jessica’s Brick Oven Bakery Cumulative Impact Analysis Fact Sheet

 Jessica’s Brick Oven, Inc. (a commercial bread-making bakery located at 35 Danton Dr in Methuen City, Massachusetts) is proposing to expand the bakery’s production in a separate building (33 Danton Dr, Methuen, MA). The purpose of this new building is to include a new bread production line and tunnel oven to support the commercial bread-making process.
